Just a little somethin somethin I've been workin on in my spare time. Completely ambidexterous, heavier then hell, and will probably never make it ingame in any way shape or form. And I still need to add the safety and trigger.

I believe that's what he modelled it on by the look of it.

Yes I it is modeled after the Ganz aka "T3h D35tr0y3r 0f n00bs"
Added sling, some bullets n stuff, took the drum out(150rnds of pwnage)
These renders aren't the greatest but I'm still learning POV-Ray

Trying to get the bullets right is turning out to be a pain in the arse. Maybe if I know how to texture it would help but looks like I'm SOL.
Anyways did a little work on it and such, plus a wireframe weeeeeeeeeee

remember, the GANZ (at least the Mk1) uses caseless ammunition. I see shells

If it ain't broke don't fix it

Although caseless rounds would make the range less of a pain in the ass. Police calling 220 rounds a piece from 230+ people=not fun.

Superb work Phoenix!

I love the Ganz from 2142. Makes an amazing fire suppression weapon. I just spam those bullets in the general direction of an enemy in 10-20 round bursts. Only idiots pop their heads up and if they do....
I don't think it really matters about the ammunition in the render. It isn't like you would actually see it if it were to be placed in a game.

No worries, just curious. Wings appears to do a pretty good job. Does it export to (obj, fbx, 3ds) ?
Just wondering if you had a shot of the gun you are modeling you could post.
Doing a nice UV and skinning are different animals, UV work is more like modeling where skinning is more like... torture
Glad to hear it about the hammered part, I am also getting my booze on.

I just modeled with a general image of the Ganz in my mind and kinda made it up as I went along.
Explaining the difference between UV and skinning to me right now would be like putting makeup on a fat girl.

It exports all of those and just about every single other format you could think of, and if it doesn't have it there's usually lots of plugins floating around that'll let you add to the list. The best part though? 100% free=win

I keep on hearing about more and more people using wings3D for meshing. It sounds like its really catching on. Might have to check it out.
