Hey everyone, it's been quite some time since last I posted! Just wanted to tell y'all that I'm going Army Reserves and going to Basic after the high holidays end October 22nd. My mos is 31 Bravo (Military Police), was considering 97 Bravo (Counterintelligence) as another possiblity after 2 years of service I think the req. is. I have also been considering that if I really like army life but not so much military police, I would go active duty to become an EOD Spec. (What I initially wanted, but the reserves don't offer.)
Edit: I'll keep ya guys posted! And for those young men and women lurking and posting that are on the fence about joining the military, you should definitely consider reserves or your national guard! Talk to a recruiter but don't let them bull**** you, find and talk to people that are actually in who will tell you how it really is!

Unless you put it in a reverse context. Eg. sniper of Russians.

Good luck man,
Couldn't tell ya how it's gonna be, should be fine, Army reserves are lax. National Gaurd is pretty much a civilian with a uniform.

Yeah, that'll go down well, 'Sniper of Russians'... GOOD LUCK &

Surely 'Sniper of Russia', 'Sniper from Russia' or 'Russian:Sniper' would translate better without causing an embaressing mix up considering recent events.

haha I'll make sure to note that.
I ended up joining active duty. I'm going to the Defense Language Institute after basic training, they haven't said what language I'm going to be learning. My MOS is 35W, place holder for 35N or 35P.
To anyone who's going to be taking the DLAB, I have just one thing to say.
Yikes.
You'll know you're passing the test when all you want to is break down and sob. I got a 124 though! Pretty exciting.
Anyways talk to you guys later! Couple more days before I go!

If you ever go to Iraq/Trashghanistan just remember this phrase.
"Goombi Dudecki Gowad" dunno if that's the correct spelling but that's how you pronounce it.
