meh... this s*hit is serious. These kind of injuries leave marks with you for the rest of your life.
I sympathize because his intentions were to bring his country Gold.

I did something like that when rock climbing. I was about 20 ft up when the cord got stuck on a rock. when i went to get it off i let go with one hand right as it came off on its own and i fell about 5 ft. unfortunately the reflex is to put your hand down to stop your fall, and thats exactly what i did when i hit a ledge. i had my arm strait so it popped right out of the socket, but it wasn't as bad as that clip because it popped right back in. i still almost passed out 15 ft up, which is not the best place because you still have to get down.
He looks like he also tore a muscle in the clip because it twisted after it dislocated. I doubt he will ever lift in another Olympics unless he is very lucky. Also once you dislocate a bone once, its more likely to happen again.

Yeah me too, when ever I do any kind of press I hear my joints crack and it I end up having to block the thought out, I usually listen to music so I can hear it, you can sorta feel it though, you know what I mean?

Yeah, i just know that its the important parts of my joints hitting the parts that stop them from coming out and finding resistance and I know I'm going to do it on a funny angle one day and be in a world of pain. But its ok, I've got strong bones and I'd much rather dislocate then break one ... and I sorta want to one day to see what it feels like.

It hurts pretty bad, I knocked my right shoulder out once when I fell down a wooded hill on my bike. Now I can just pop it in and out, doesnt hurt anymore either.

Yeah but a lot of things people have told me have hurt haven't ... and I sort of want to see if dislocation is the same. Like everyone I knew told me getting hit point blank with paintballs hurt, and all the guys from my work whinged at some point when we went paintballing about the close range hits. But me and one of them played 'chicken' where we stood a couple of meters away and whoever stopped firing at the other first was the coward. The joke was on him though cos it didn't phase me at all and it was pretty obvious he had to grit his teeth.

Depends on the FPS. I played against some asshole who had his above the legal amount, I didnt get hit, but one of my friends did. Biggest welt Ive seen in awhile. Ive always wanted to try playing it naked but never had the balls.

Our guns were well below the legal limit as one of the instructors showed us his and they were at least twice as fast. Ours, you could see going downrange fairly easily. I ended up using that for aiming lobs into fortifications.

Well there would have to be ... given you fire one of those fast enough and its gonna be lethal. The legal requirements here for paintball though are somewhat excessive >_<

Yeah, too bad its impossible to get a good accuracy over range with a low FPS.
