From our team forums. I posted this for anyone who ever played with/knew the people from FNG, or just wanted to wish condolences.

Quote

Hello all,

We have received news today that FNG has lost one of its members (FNG Skunk) to wounds/complications from a round(s) taken while in Iraq.
He was a FNG Clan Members since: 11/08/2002

I will inlcude this from Mrs. Skunk:

Quote

Hello to everyone in fng. I have some bad news for everyone. Two months ago, my husband, John (Skunk) died from wounds received in a bomb attack in Iraq. I'm sorry I didn't let you all know sooner, but I was going through some of his files today and found a folder he had for fng, and it reminded me he would probably have wanted you to know. He and a Navy corpsman from the same convoy were shot as they tried to help the wounded from the bomb. The navy guy died there and John was airlifted to Ramstien air base in germany where he died a week later. He is now buried in Willamette National Cemetery. I miss him more every day. bye all.

Please come to http://www.fng-clan....topic&p=15533#1 and post your condolences.

Best regards,
Saker

this is a video called "Buddies" that was made by Skunk, and altered at the end by the clan members.

It seems ironic, and a little prophetic considering the circumstances of his death.

RIP my brother. :salute:

When we send our troops to war, we have an obligation that includes at the very least paying attention to their sacrifices. American soldiers should never have to wonder if we care about their well-being. - Micheal Yon

Would anyone mind posting a link to something regarding this officially? Like a news report? I would hate to salute a person who is not really living.

Its rude to post this, so if someone procures an actual report of this man's death then would an admin or mod please delete this.

I HATE IRAQIS!

Its 'Iraqis'. I wont go into details, but I feel compelled to mention that Osama Bin Laden's main goal is to create a mutual hatred between Arabs and Americans to start WW3. So please quit hating Iraqis, because it is only a minority who do this.

Also ... this guy served to protect Iraqi's no matter which way you look at it politically. The same goes for the majority of Iraqi's who are either neutral or serving for the same goals as the US soldiers deployed in Iraq. It is only a small minority responsible for the continued insurgency and they are in the wrong more then anyone else. Hate them, not the general, peace loving population.
