one idea: Tank commanders! average life of tank commanders, where they were stationed on the tank (ie, the top of the turret looking out), etc. should make a good paragraph

how about how Tanks effected the war? How they used them in stratagies, like the Blitzkrieg that the Germans did.

you can also have the losses of tanks from each country. also do an estimated kill count or something from each nation.

That SubmarineTank was also German, otherwise known as the "Tauchpanzer". Don't forget to mention flametanks. Oh and tanks like the P-1000 Ratte and P-1500 Monster, that were the biggest tanks ever concieved, however, were never honestly considered.

exactly my thoughts
right now you're focusing on fragmentary stuff alone, you should also place your subject in a broader perspective
interesting subject tho, i read alot about WWII when i was younger

10 is the minimum, im going way over.
ive added in APC's, IFV's, Ridiculously long compound words (dont ask what all those letters in panzers names stand for, omygawd!) tank anatomy, etc.
im up to 15. i have to keep the presentatio under 10 min. though
im a huge history nerd, however my class are mostly idiots. so i may ahve to explain all of armoured combat to them. arg. im doing bits about sloped armour and such now. wish we were doing iraq war, chobham armour gets me hard lol

my JROTC presentation was almost the same thing, except aircraft and distinguishing features. started off w. a five second overhead display showing a profile of an messershmidt and a mustang. shut it off and asked the differences. not many of them caught them.
but doing something to that effect would make a great opening. frontal or side and a few seconds and ask them to differenciate between

What about mentioning the Pamzerkampfwagen 34 or in English, captured T-34. The Germans managed to capture over 1,000 and they deployed them into combat with structures on top to identify them as Nazi tanks.
The reason for this was often tanks would identify targets based on their silhouette, well before they could see any markings. Giant wooden Swastika's were often put on top of the Commanders Cupola to save their T-34 pilots the hastle of friendly fire.

i went over the differences in german and russian design philosophy, and practical use.
also the SDKFZ (WTF) the german apc, has the longest name ive ever seen. its like 30 letters. i had to put a warning as my first slide "contains riggodandiculously long german compound words"
