Maybe if a copilot or ground troops point the laser. Has been suggested, maybe on the old forums.

There were in BF2 I think and they were hard to designate as a copilot.

lol sorry to be a spelling troll. I prefer the infantry laser guided bomb, but lets not go into that right now. I just think it bridges the gap between infantry and air and leads to better teamwork

Laser guided bombs in BF2 are VERY possible. Look at the Fi/Bomber's (F15E/SU32). The copilot has laser guided missiles that shoot where your aiming cursor goes. ######, they even lock on. LGB's are 100% possible in BF2. I would love to see some for PoE: 2

Newsflash..
Not really that different, from an ordnance situation in BF2 are they? They both move, one just moves a ton faster than the other. In fact, it might even be easier to code them as "missiles" instead of "bombs" and give them a very slow movement potential, and a slower speed.

PROPOSAL:

GPS-munitions are widely used today. Perhaps you can have spec-ops GPS viewfinder which gives all aircraft a target location on what you want dead.

They merely switch to JDAMs or SDBs and your target pops up as something you can lock-on to in addition to ground vehicles and stuff.

Isnt there a laser designator already in BF2, if you look at some of the kits, and I also belive there was a mini mod that actually had it in there to use(how I dont know), but you could look through it, press the fire button on the mouse and it would light up a red dont in the middle of the viewer. I believe this is possible considering its already in the game, maybe in a hidden file somewhere much like hte battlehawk is reported to be.

BF2 originally planned on using it but didn't. A few minimods resurrected it though.
