Okay, typos happen, and I don't expect graduate level dissertations in PC game forum, but for the love of god people at least put SOME effort into making your post readable. Really I'm a reasonable guy. I totally understand that English is not some people's first language. But the worst offenders on this forum are people who are native english speakers but who put no effort into sounding even slightly intelligent. The worst offender is Frupert. Not just for how horrible his posts are but for how much spam he produces he every day. I can't be the only person here who finds his posts and others like them aggravating to read. The forum mods need to start enforcing some moderate level of writing proficiency. Warn and ban people who post frequently without putting any effort into making things pleasant to read. It can only improve the quality of the forums and eventually the mod itself since it is a given that people who are too stupid to even attempt proper capitalization are too stupid to make constructive criticisms.

Use the enter button when you're whining about grammar and punctuation. If i see a mass of text like that, then normaly i just skip that post.

i myself used to post without regard for grammer, but i realised that i had become a bad poster so i thought i would change my ways.

You just need to spend that extra two seconds reading your post before clicking reply and it makes the world of differance

If I were going to make a post on Grammar and Punctuation , I would proof read it before I posted it .

Quote " Not just for how horrible his posts are but for how much spam he produces he every day "

I believe you meant "Not just for how horrible his posts are but for how much spam he produces here every day "

Except Frupert isn't so bad as you make him sound. There are worse, but I say just ignore it...

A lot of people concentrate more on the subject of the post itself, not the grammar. This is a forum, not an ELA class. If you have the time to submit an error-proof post then good for you, but not everyone has the time for that.

tbut wehn peeple psot
ilek dis den itb ecomes very
hard tooo reed
their r at lest to ppl i now int his forum
dat hav ereely bad garmmure

This is mostly aimed at people who have english as their primary language, yet get a little "enter happy" and can not spell, use punctuation, or even put spaces between periods and new sentences. I don't understand how hard it can be to put a comma here, or a period there, and press the space bar two times after each period. Capitolizing (capitalizing?) the first letter of each new sentence is also NOT hard at all.

Thus, please, people, try as hard as you can to type better. Truthfully, I see people with english as their secondary language use better grammar than that of those who have english as their primary language. It is discusting.

Edit: BIGDOG, I LOVE your sig. It is hilarious and very true.

People typing fast still use punctuation they just mispell. Not using periods at all just the enter key is rediculous, you might as well not post.

omg
i has teh ds

Oh, I totally agree with the grammar thing out of control, ESPECIALLY QUOTES!!!!

Punctuation goes INSIDE the quote. For example: "I really loved those mad skillz and h4x Night," I agreed. NOT: "I really loved those mad skillz and h4x Night", I agreed.

And, you can't do thing like: "Is that a question!"? It HAS to be "Is that a question?"

No exceptions.

I've seen it soooo much online and on TV and in newspapers, and it is driving me INSANE! AHHHHHHH

Yes. If you end your sentance in a quote or continue use a punctuation mark. If you continue after the quote use a camma and if you end use a period and etc.

You people don't get taught this just so you can throw out the window! Use it! English class is there to be learned then used. Not learned and forgotten. I wonder how some people in the world function. (Foley) :nervous:

I learned that quote stuff this year actually, and it is amazing how much the rule is not used anywhere...

Look at how I evolved from this English teacher, look at my first posts, and these.

Notice anything?

It also helps if you want to get your point across when you type your post in at least a somewhat easily readable fashion. Good post Evil.Iguana :)
