All 3 look great, but will any/all versions act as a troop transport aswell as a gunship? I never played PoE1, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but the SF HIND was a disappointment , having only a gunner and pilot. I was hopping that one of the Hinds in PoEII would act as a troop transport, do the devs plan on this or is the HIND merely an attack heli?

This could be one of those ?'s that the devs will not answer and leave to our speculation until the MOD is out. THe HIND was never in POE1 so we are not able to compair between the different platforms. That beeing said and going from past experiance, POE1, most of the transports armored or aircraft were pretty much the same in game as in real life. The only ones that were not exact were the IFV, infantry fighting vehicles, ie bmp or bradley.

That is the true beauty of the Hind, its ability to be a gunship and carry troops to the battle and provide support, or remove them from the battle and fight it's way out.

If i remember correctly, the Hind irl generally carried Special forces in and out of combat, it was not used often as a troop transport except in special situations.

I always felt that you could give the russians just 1 hind, and give the Americans a BH and AH64 and it'd balance out some of the maps, we'll see how it goes.

The Hind is extremely well armored up front for the crew, .50 cal bullets generally ricochet off the armored glass, and the engine compartment is heavily armored. The tail section however, is very very weak. Its a downfall of the Hind, by design it was supposed to be easily repairable, didnt really work out that way.

So thats something to consider the damage boxes on the Hind.

Normally the troop compartment is used to carry extra ammuntition or fuel.

The HiND is more akin to a slow and low fixed wing aircraft than an attack helicopter. Its fast, but not very nimble.

######, it can even carry bombs!

over 300km/h carries 8 people in back usually only 1 variant though 2 rocket pods and 4 AT-6 missiles ut it would be nice to have 2 rocket pods 8 AGMs and 4 AAMs

On the render, it show up as the "no turret" version. So I'll guess the gunner gets only AT missiles.
To replace the nosegun turret, there is a huge 20mm gun on the right side of the cockpit, lined up with the chopper, the pilot would countrol this one.

Would be nice if there was the reg version too, with the minigun turret controled by the gunner.

Twin "huge" 23mm rapid fire Gsh with a "flex". There is also a twin 30mm canons mounted one per side that never made it beyond the proto stage.
