Ever since I downloaded Point of Existence 2 it has been my favorite modification (Except Reality Mod, 21st Century Warfare, Mercenaries, Rising Conflict and Desert Conflict of course!). However there is one outstanding issue that the new patch for Point of Existence cannot seem to remedy, this is the Ukrainian side being incredibly weak in infantry combat because their engineer's shotgun does not have a full stock. What combinations of hallucinogens were the developers inhaling when they decided to put the Ukrainian shotgun in game without a stock. This completely unbalanced combat for ground pounders, and effectively ruined the game for any dedicated infantryman. Head to head the German shotgun far surpasses the soviet relic the Ukrainians get in both damage and rate of fire. This all stems from the Ukrainian shotgun's lack of a proper stock.
If you look at pure infantry maps such as Spies Like Us or Fallen the German side shows total dominance on the ground because they can barrage in with their mighty boom sticks and just mow a whole squad down. This has become such a problem that I have stopped joining squads and now try to jump around and charge flags alone to avoid the German Dominance Machine, aka their shotgun. I would encourage others to adapt this tactic also.
Now I am not suggesting that the two sides should be exactly the same, I'm not in favor of mirror balancing, but I would just like to see Germany and Ukraine get the same weapons, aircraft, vehicles, uniforms and stocks and fore grips! Anything else is just ridiculous.
In mine, and in most of America's and some of Cuba's opinion if the German and Ukrainian engineers got comparable armaments it would add a whole new level of game play never experienced in Rising Conflict, and it would most definitely improve Point of Existence's standing in my list of top modifications.

You forgot to mention giving them the same voice commands too. I think that different languages for the sides unbalance the game extremely. Otherwise, i totally agree with this. Will this all be in the next patch?

I tend to agree about the German shotty dominance thing up close, a Saiga-12 would be interesting for the Uke's.

Would work in Amerika and Cuba, maybe. But this is in Germany and Ukraine....

I don't even know any pumpgun that the Bundeswehr uses. But this is one of the smaller problems this mod has.

My two Cents.

Actually, that shotgun (Benelli M4) is the only hand weapon Germans have better than Ukrainians. That shotgun prevents Gers from going kneeling home after every close combat. (They are dominated by Vepr, Ak, Val)

Generally I agree with this, Ukr shotgun should be adjusted but only if G36 rifles are adjusted.
Although both sides shouldn't have the same one.
My suggestion was to increase Rouns Per Minute of TOZ194 to 100 thus decrease time to pump it.

It would remain as a pump-action shotgun but you would be able to fire as fast as Max Payne. :bfg:

I don't know why, but I've never had problems with the TOZ. In fact - I sometimes prefer it over the German M4. I think its all great as it is.
If your whole squad is annihilated on maps like Spies Like Us, then it is your fault for letting an enemy come engage you in close combat. Just don't let them approach to shotgun-distance, that's all.

Well with the addition of my beach assault map, Ukraine will have to wade through waters with German i'll tempered sea bass and sharks with laserbeams on their heads. We are debating adding some mean old jelly fish and some horny sandcrabs too but that might just be too much to overcome.

Oh yes, these sea fairing changes are long overdue.
While strolling the Mediterranean coast I once had an encounter with a sexually charged sand crab, you should see the children.
