/orgazm.

Kinda like the darker look to be honest. But the snowy one looks more realistic and I'd assume it fits in with the environment of Ukraine and Germany better.

Orignal for me. Reason is that it looks like the morning after the battle. Fog in the air, smoke starting to settle as the fires from the night before go out, and it just looks cooler.

I want the new "hell" colours. I ve had enough of fog in many bf2 custom maps. Hell is something completely new, awsome. Havent seen it before, maybe in Doom 3.

I prefer the one with the white fog, though i would love to see a little bit more fog.

The dark one looks very cool, though it doesnt seem to have as much fog as the other one (or it just doesnt stand out as much).

non the less:

the original si too bright to me. It would be nice if you could make it a little darker with the morning weak sun slightly cutting the fog somewhere in the distance. I mean a weak light in the distance. Isn't that worth fighting for?

Well, the problem has been the particle effects. I had to remove all the big fires and the rolling smoke effects because if you stand in front of the smoke looking towards objects (trees) that are behind the smoke line...when you zoom in, the trees behind the smoke turn a ghastly white. I don't know why that happens but it does, well not anymore since I removed it all and went with standard fire and smoke effects that go straight up.

I love the look of the original as it was my intent to mimic the old WWI trench warfare pics that you can see online as most are in black and white. It's a certain retro look which gives the battlefield a very unique but foreboding appearance. I have played with pretty much every available skybox/cloud texture combo and this is the best for this map....unless I create my own, which I might because I would love to have a more defined cloud base which doesn't meet the horizon so I can stick the rising sun just below it but still have fog. I am investigating the possibility of rolling mist/fog that creeps across the ground although I doubt it's possible...at least with my knowledge LOL. :D

hmm, perhaps one of the EF maps that had the giant smoke cloud in the middle of it might be some help. I do not own EF so I am not sure exactly how they did it, but it might be worth checking out.

That's where I got it from lol. IT's simply a color issue. As soon as you change the fog color to anything darker than my original color, the problem goes away.
