Wasn't there going to be an underwater rifle in the SF expansion that EA canned?
Maybe that'll be the AT unlock. . . .

The APS Underwater rifle
And I hope it isn't an unlock. Unless you're underwater, it's a useless gun.

It'd be interesting to see a different missile for the AT as a different unlock.
Preferably something that can take down aircraft more efficiently, but I doubt that would be an unlock.
If it's the M82 for the snipers, hopefully it kills in two shots and is relatively accurate.

The Speargun, APS rifle and the posion gas are the items that didn't make it into BF2 SF.

A little more effective against aircraft wouldn't be for the AT (Antitank) class then, would it?
and the code for the M82A1 is already there, it kills in one shot everywhere I believe.

I cannot find a reasonable argument for adding the M82 seeing they already have the M95 as an unlock. Although they are different rifles, I feel the M82 won't add much. They should really add a completely different rifle. Not another .50 cal rifle.

I can. The M82 is used by the military, and the M82A3 will become the Army's new standard .50 cal sniper rifle, under the name M107. The M95 isn't used by the military.

The M82 weighs 32 lbs loaded with scope.
Quote With a .50 cal you would probably fall over. I don't know. Ask kranzy... The Barret M82 is one of the few .50s that can be fired from the sholder. Unfortunatly, it is not going to be very accurate due to the weight.

The M82 is worth adding. One can never have enough .50 cal rifles.

EOD techs use the M95 and the M99 for detonating explosive shells.

Yes, basic game gun sounds are always so wimpy...They need to be so loud that we have to lower our volume at default levels.

ALL BF2 sounds are innacurate and wimpy. axe em all. good sound adds alot, POE1 had good sound. but for the best sound award for guns and tanks, i have to give it to RO. sounds for diff gears on tanks, and the MG42
wich brings me to... weres our render of the MG3? also, can we get dual Mg3's on an AA mount?

thanks krazny, I knew i had a book with all the weights and what not of the rifles, I guess I didnt take the weight of the ammunition into consideration.

NP.
The weights for the rifles in a lot of sources are for the rifle alone, not the scope, scope rings, bipod,. and loaded with ammunition. A mag holding 10 rds of .50 BMG is almost 1.9 lbs. Thats 1 mag. Scopes add 2-3 with rings, and bipods are about 2.

The MP5 in BF2 is the MP5N or MP5 Navy, designed for the U.S. Navy. It only fires in semi and auto, no 3rd burst.
